French beans fry



French Beans Fry with chana dal(Putnalu)

Ingredients:

500 gms French beans cut into small pieces

For Powder:

100gms roasted chana dal/putnalu

red chillies3-4

cumin

2 garlic cloves

curry leaves

corriander leaves



Take some water in a vessel and boil the french beans for about 1omin.Make sure you add some salt to the water before you start boiling.or u can pressure cook them until one whistle(make sure that they dont get too mushy,or loose there shape)

Take chana dal,salt,cumin seeds,red chillies(you can use 2tbsp chilli powder also) and the garlic cloves and make powder .The powder should not pe too smooth..its good if its a bit grainy in texture.

take a pan heat 3 tablespoons oil add pacchi senagapappu 4-5,mustard seeds, red chilli.when the mustard seeds start to splutter add curry leaves.Then add the boiled french beans.add a pinch of turmeric.Fry them for 3-4min and then add the powder.Stir in the till the beans are covered with the powder.Adjust the salt according to your taste finally garnish with fresh corriander leaves.Tatses goodwith Chapathi and white rice.

I do it similarly with 'karappodi'. But your instructions for the spice powder will be helpful if we want to make it instantly.
